Coconutty Bars Recipe

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Combine the butter, 1/4 cup (60 mL) SPLENDA®  Brown Sugar Blend and flour until a dough forms. Press into a 13 x 9 inch (33 x 23 cm) baking pan.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Blend the eggs, remaining 1/4 cup (60 mL) SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend, vanilla, flour and baking powder. Stir in the coconut and the pecans.

Spread the filling onto the par-baked crust.

Return to the oven for 20 minutes.

  • 1 cup (250 mL) flour
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) SPLENDA® Brand Brown Sugar Blend, packed
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) coconut
  • 1 cup (250 mL) chopped pecans
