Oatmeal & Orange Zest Bars Recipe
In a saucepan over medium heat, cook SPLENDA® Granulated, peanut butter, salt, and milk for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and add grated chocolate. Stir well and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix remaining ingredients and then add chocolate mixture. Mix well until mixture forms a sticky paste.
Pour into rectangular 8-inch (20 cm) pan lined with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove from pan and cut into 16 individual bars.
- 2 cups (500 mL) SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
- 1 cup (250 mL) peanut butter
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) grated dark chocolate or bitter cocoa
- 1 cup (250 mL) müesli cereal
- 2/3 cup (160 mL) oatmeal
- zest from one orange
- 3/4 cup (180 mL) unsalted peanuts
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) sliced almonds
