2 cups (500 mL) water
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) SPLENDA® Brand Brown Sugar Blend
1/2 cup (125 mL) butter, unsalted and softened
1/4 cup (60 mL) SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) white or whole-wheat flour
1 tsp (5 mL) baking powder
1 cup (250 mL) milk
Preheat oven to 350 °F (180 °C).
In a saucepan, stir SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Mix butter and SPLENDA® Granulated in a bowl. Add egg and vanilla extract and beat until mixture is smooth. Gradually add flour, baking powder and milk.
Pour batter (but do not spread) into a square 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) buttered oven safe baking dish, then pour sauce over it but do not stir. Bake for 35 minutes.
It is normal for sauce to stay on pudding’s surface while cooking.
