Caramel and Nut Popcorn Recipe
Mix the SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend, salt, butter and juice in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil for 8 to 9 minutes without stirring.
Remove from the stove. Add the nuts.
Place the popcorn on parchment paper and carefully spread the mixture on the popcorn with a spoon. Set aside to air cool for 10 minutes or until the caramel has hardened.
Shape into little balls if desired. Stores well in airtight containers.
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) SPLENDA® Brand Brown Sugar Blend
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 mL) salt
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) of unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) pineapple juice
- 8 cups (2 L) of popcorn
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped nuts (pecans, peanuts)
