Roasted Dessert Pears
4 ripe Bartlett pears, peeled, cored, and cut in half
2 tbsp (30 mL) SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground cinnamon
2 tbsp (30 mL) fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp (30 mL) melted butter
1/4 tsp (1 mL) maple flavouring
1/2 cup (125 mL) orange juice
1 pint (480 mL) low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt
Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
Arrange pears cut side down in an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch (28 x 18 x 4 cm) baking dish.
Combine SPLENDA® Granulated, cinnamon, lemon juice, butter, and maple flavouring. Spoon over pears, turning to coat. Pour orange juice in bottom of pan around pears.
Bake, uncovered, 20 to 25 minutes or until pears are tender. Serve warm or at room temperature with 1 scoop (60 mL) frozen yogurt.
