Five-Spice Nuts Recipe

In a large bowl, whisk egg whites with SPLENDA® Granulated until foamy; whisk in five-spice powder. Add pecans, walnuts and cashews; toss to coat. Spread on greased baking sheet; sprinkle with salt.

Roast in 350°F (180°C) oven, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes or until browned, fragrant and dry. Let cool on pan on rack.


  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) five-spice powder
  • 2 cups (500 mL) each pecan halves, walnut halves and unsalted cashews
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) salt
