Homemade Chai Recipe

3 servings, ready in 10 minutes

Combine ginger, SPLENDA® Stevia No Calorie Sweetener, black peppercorns, cloves, cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add the teabags, cover and steep for 5 minutes. Remove spices and tea bags with a slotted spoon and discard.

Add milk and cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated. Do not boil. Serve immediately.


  • 3 slices peeled; fresh ginger
  • 3 packets SPLENDA® Stevia No Calorie Sweetener
  • 12 black peppercorns
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cups (0.5 L) water
  • 2 Darjeeling tea bags
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) 2% milk
