  1. In a bowl, combine Splenda Sweetener, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. In a saucepan, whisk together milk and egg substitute. Gradually add sweetener mixture, whisking until blended. Add butter and vanilla extract.
  3. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture begins to boil. Boil 1 minute, whisking constantly. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour filling into piecrust. Cover filling with waxed paper; chill 2 hours.
  5. Spread whipped topping over pie; garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
