What is erythritol?

Erythritol is a sugar alcohol fermented from sugars and found in many vegetables and fruit. It’s 70% as sweet as sugar. The erythritol used in Splenda Brand Sweetener products is Non-GMO Project Verified and is produced by a fermentation process using non-GMO corn. The product is then filtered and dried into crystals.
